About the Scheme

DMSL Q-A Contractor certification is a PRIVATE and VOLUNTARY assessment and certification scheme for building and engineering construction companies.

With the environment becoming fiercely competitive, it becomes necessary for Building and Engineering organizations to provide evidence of implementing and conforming to Quality Assurance system during building and engineering construction project activities. Certification of conformity to quality assurance scheme is one of the means to assess and confirm a company’s credibility and capability to consistently assure quality of services to enhance the customer satisfaction & achieving continual improvement.

DMSL Q-A Contractor Certification is awarded to building and construction organizations that conform to the certification scheme requirements.

The Q-A Contractor Certification Scheme operated by DMSL is a third-party certification scheme aimed at giving recognition to companies who have effectively met the requirements of the scheme. It covers the following scope:

• Conduct of independent assessments for Q-A Contractor certification/ registration

• Issuance of Certified Q-A Contractor certificates

• Yearly renewal assessment visits for verification of conformance to the scheme requirements.

• Supplementary/Re-assessments (required where major non-conformities have been identified or major changes in the organization or its system have been identified/ notified.

DMSL Quality Assured Contractors Certification Scheme is a private and voluntary assessment and certification of service providers in the built environment based on world class building and construction quality assurance requirements.

The primary aim of the scheme is to minimize risk associated with engagement of non-quality assured service providers in built environment by creating a database of certified quality assured contractors.

This scheme is open to all classes (including SME) of building & engineering construction companies engaging in the provision of development & design, construction, installation, maintenance and servicing services.

In order to participate in the scheme, prospective participating organizations must be actively engaged in building and construction activities for minimum of 3 years to the applying date.

Organization applying for Q-A Contractor Certification must be a legal entity (or part thereof).

To join DMSL Q-A Contractor Certification Scheme, applicant organization must submit expression of interest form online (No hardcopy application form to be processed).

Once the expression of interest form is completed and submitted, the applicant organization will be bound by the Q-A Contractor Certification Terms & Conditions.

DMSL will contact the applicant organization and certification process will commence.

At registration and on yearly anniversary the participating organization will be asked to pay the relevant annual assessment and certification fees which shall be communicated to the participating company after application form has been successfully reviewed for participation.

There will be no continuation of the certification process unless there is evidence of payment is received and payment confirmed.

In case the application is not successful, there shall be no payment required.

For already Certified Q-A Contractors seeking annual renewal assessment, there will be no renewal assessment and re-issue of certificate until the payment is confirmed.
